Flying a microlight is
no more difficult than
driving a car....... once you have had the appropriate training!
To gain
your unrestricted Microlight
Pilot's Licence you must complete the BMAA flight training syllabus.
This requires you to complete a minimum of 25 instructional
hours, of which at least 10 hours must be completed as solo flight with
you in command of the aircraft.
During your training
you will also complete two solo cross country flights to other
airfields, and take the five "multiple choice" ground school exams
which will test your theoretical
knowledge of subjects like navigation and meteorology etc. You training
is completed after passing a GST (flight test).
J.T.Airsport's school
training aircraft is a
Pegasus Quantum Flexwing microlight built and tested to Civil
Aviation Authority (C.A.A.)
B.C.A.R. section S, and all instructors are fully C.A.A. authorised.
At Westonzoyland we do not
currently
have a 3 axis school training aircraft, but we can offer 3 axis tuition
to
students with their
own machines.
